Machine learning is the science of getting computers to act without being explicitly programmed.
Machine learning is a field of computer science that uses statistical techniques to give computer systems the ability to "learn" (e.g., progressively improve performance on a specific task) with data, without being explicitly programmed.
Topics related to this field include:
As my thesis were based on supervised statistical methodes witch tries to point out outliers in metrics, collected from Hadoop nodes, with no previous knowledge about workloads and the help of a learning stage.
Ultimately, due to the primary field of my dissertation, I have the experience of utilizing machine learning techniques, such as regression and classification, as well as statistical analysis methods, namely descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, on the Matlab scripting platform along with other such tools like R and Minitab.
